Gløgg
Both in 2021 and 2022, Ewalds Brasserie won the prestigious People's Prize for Gløgg (mulled wine) at the Danish championship held each November; this followed several podium finishes in the preceding years. Our Gløgg is traditional and well-aged in old rum casks, with plenty of port wine, rum, and schnapps. Tender loving care has been put into the "crunch", which was a particular highlight of the judging panel at the championship in Torvehallerne.
Each year, Ewalds produces approximately 2,000 litres of Gløgg: this is both for the restaurant and specially made bottles for customers to purchase.
Our award winning Gløgg will be available each year in November and December.
